Rhino Earrings

These playful earrings are inspired from the African Rhinos – both the white and the black rhinos have been around for millions of years and play an important part in the ecosystem. But relentless hunting by European settlers saw rhino numbers and distribution quickly decline. Poaching also escalated during the 1970s and 1980s as demand grew for rhino horn, a prized ingredient in traditional Asian medicines - leaving both species at risk.

Metal : Gold plated brass (22kt ; 2.5 micron plating) with a coat of anti tarnish for good measure.
